Job Description : Initiate and implement structured financial support solutions to accelerate economic development : Initiate and implement relevant structured financial solutions in line with the strategy of the Company.

Identify, evaluate and review industry and sector specific financial programs as wellBenchmark with financial institutions best practiceAnalyse clients needs and respond with structured financial solutionsManage and monitor the loan proposal and origination process.

Plan the processing of applications at hand with direct reports.Evaluate the viability of client business planManage the analysis client financial position to assess the riskGenerate new business and assist clients in developing proposalsReport monthly on the number of applications at hand, being processed and completedFacilitate the analysis of applicants'' financial and credit status to determine feasibility of granting loans.

Review the loan applicants'' credit histories, financial statements, and other financial information.Handle customer complaints and take appropriate action to resolve them.

Operationalize Relevant Legislation and Policies : Comply with relevant legislation in terms of credit granting, implementation and recovery of loans granted.

Align the SMMEs activities with the company procedures and policyDevelop and monitor performance standards.Attend and add value at the Credit Risk Investment CommitteePackage relevant ED messages and policies for internal and external stakeholders.

Provide regular updates to the Executives on the activities and performance of SMMEs within the portfolioDepartmental Management : Sound planning and forecasting of capital expenditure within areas of responsibilityCompile budget inputs in accordance with policies, procedures and legal requirementsManage costs against approved budgetAssign responsibilities and ensure effective task authorisation protocols are in placeImplement staff development and training to achieve overall organisational objectives and Identify training and development needs, implementing plans to address requirements, as appropriate.

Develop and implement succession plansAdhere to employment equity and recruitment policiesManage discipline and absenteeism in accordance with organizational codes and proceduresManage compliance with agreed budgets in consultation with the Executive Manager : Corporate Services, ensuring that costs are contained.

Job Requirements : Honours Degree in Commerce or equivalent,At least 8-10 years experience in the banking industry or Development Finance sector (5 years of which must be at a senior management level).

Please note this is a one year contract)
