Job Description : Our client is seeking a Head of Procurement who will report directly into the MD. The successful incumbent will be responsible for local and strategic procurementMain job functionDeveloping procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effectiveSourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendorsSourcing raw materialsNegotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous termsReviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibilityBuilding and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliersApproving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and servicesPerforming risk assessments on potential contracts and agreementsControlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costsPreparing procurement reportsQualifications : Relevant Tertiary Qualification from a recognized InstitutionExperience : 10 Years + experience required in Manufacturing / FMCG IndustryProven experience managing supply chain operationsKnowledge of Procurement modelsExperience using supply chain management software and toolsIn-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation termsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Management and leadership skillsMulti-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasksHighly organized and detail-orientedExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsA Consultant will be in touch if you are shortlisted for the position.
