Overall objective of Job FunctionThe responsible DLS is to organise the storage and distribution of goods, to ensure that the right products are delivered to the right location on time and at a good cost, which involves transportation, stock control, overseeing of warehouse activities to monitor the flow of goods.

The purpose if the DLS is to manage the entire order cycle so as to enhance business development and ensure sustainability and customer satisfaction.

2. Minimum Qualifications : MUST have a 3 year Tertiary QualificationDiploma / Degree in Supply Chain / Logistics3. Basic Competencies and minimum experience : Knowledge, Skills and AttributesMinimum 5-

8 years' experience in Distribution Management with a core focus in managing a manufacturing Plant of large volumes exceeding a Billion Rand.

Distribution & Logistics Management experience is non-negotiable in the Pharmaceutical Industry.KNOWLEDGE Computer literacy Proficient in Microsoft Excel / OfficeSKILLS Knowledge of Customer Service principles and best practice.

A logical and systematic approach to work. Organizational and managerial skills, service orientation. Good time management ability.

The ability to solve problems and make decisions as well as think laterally and offer creative solutions. Commercial awareness and numeracy skills.

Some degree of IT literacy and the ability to handle DLS electronic data. The ability to manage change. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team, as well as manage people.

Excellent communication skills both oral and written. Negotiation, analytical and report writing skills. A positive attitude to continued learning.

Duties & Responsibilities Key Performance AreaThe responsible DLS shall be responsible : Overseeing shipments. Overseeing delivering of finished products.

Managing State based depots and distributors. Ensuring that quality objectives and delivery deadlines are met. Managing budgets.

Administering stock control. Efficient planner. Ensure adherence to site safety standards as head of Safety, Health and Environmental Committee in line with the OSH Act.

Deliver accurate stock reports that are managed on a FIFO basis. To oversee the safeguarding of material and company resources kept in all warehouses.

To ensure process and controls are mapped, communicated, understood and consistently applied. To manage outbound logistics efficiently at a competitive cost.

To understand and coordinate with the material handling fleet operated by the distributor. Identify and provide for stock obsolescence.

To facilitate meetings and cross-functional communication. Processing and order completion. Operating IT systems with a good ERP understanding.

Liaising with suppliers, customers and other departments. Maintaining statistical and financial records. Planning
