Apply Engineering & Technical, Gauteng JHB - Eastern Suburbs Market Related - Junior Electrical Technician required to complete 12 month P1 and P2 training programme for reputable client specialising in the design and manufacture of process weighing and batch application Our client is offering a P1 and P2 trainee programme.
Participants will undergo a 12 month on-the-job training programme that will be relevant to their qualifications to equip them to enter the formal job market.
Requirements : You must be studying towards your National Diploma in any of the areas mentioned above at a recognised, registered institution.
You must have completed your S1, S2, S3 and S4 with a good academic record with a stamped P1 and P2 Requested letter from your University / Technical institution.
In addition to the hunger to learn, you should demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, problem solving, creativity, innovation, completed with solid interpersonal and leadership skills and high self-
confidence. Excellent English proficiency and professional communication skills Open to all races (traveling and site work might be required) Valid driver’s licence with driving experience All required subjects passed (no subjects which need to be completed part time during the P1 / P2 period.
Clear criminal record and will be required to undergo medicals Job Scope for the Training Programme : Perform client-site servicing, repair and / or installation of company products and calibrations, including reports and issuing of relevant certificates.
This job may include any aspect of product field support including system hardware and software, devices, equipment and systems networking.
Provide technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment. Serve as a customer contact on technical and service-
related problems. Diagnose hardware, software and system failures using established procedures. Determine most cost-effective repair / resolution to minimise customer downtime.
Prepare reports for analysis of product failure trends and service ability issues. Print and bind appropriate documentation for projects and orders.
Do calibration certificate and proper filing (to be checked by Management). Obtaining technical quotations from suppliers.
Testing and calibration of new stock for orders or projects. Repair client equipment when sent in for repairs (with experience gained over time).
Assist stores with appropriate paperwork and if stock needs to be unpacked and checked (with experience, technicians can check equipment for orders).
Document newest technical drawings and documents. Construct and wire control panels for projects and orders. Study products and drawings to understand basic control circuits and procedures.
Do basic assignments to gain experience given by technical engineers. Assist with basic hook-up and electrical drawings.
Must learn and be willing to do electrical drawings on AutoCAD. Keep software for instruments up to date, working and learning instrumentation and electronic devices, including building of electrical panels.
Must be able to conduct reports and do fault finding.
