An African leader in the geo-spatial market research, data and advisory industries that specialises within the retail, property and investment sectors, is seeking to permanently employ a Senior Data Insights and Business Intelligence Manager in their Johannesburg office.
This senior position with a seat on the exco, will provide dedicated subject matter expertise and support to a retail team and will lead all client initiatives related to customer centric retailing.
The ideal candidate will possess both a deep analytic and consultative background that enables them to drive engagement with c-suite executives and divisional leadership within retail and property groups.
In summary, this is a strategic product & service development as well as a business development role. The ability to generate insights and partner with the divisions to drive value from those insights is vital to the success of the role.
This person must be a proficient communicator who can manage teams (internal & external) to achieve optimal performance.

Support the client objectives in an effort to drive sales and improve their overall business Utilize current and newly developed BI tools to help answer retailer business questions Identify and take advantage of key business trends at the macro and micro levels Use predictive analytics and financial modelling efforts to forecast impact of actions Build customer centric insights into retail deliverables Partner internal metrics with external insights like syndicated data and client information to meet objectives.
Participate in key cross functional projects that cut across the business Build a sales pipeline by up-sell a range of products to existing and new clientele Manage diverse teams (internal or outsourced) to deliver new generation 4IR digital retail products.
Bachelors Degree in Business, GIS or a Related Field is required Masters / MBA will be an advantage At least 10 years experience in a similar strategic, product development or sales role Statistics, Geo Information Science experience will be highly beneficial Experience working with geo-spatial data layers and customer centric data Extensive use of syndicated data (incl.
spatial data) Ability to develop productive and professional client relationships Familiar with BI products, solutions and strategies Strong leadership / experience running a team (insource and outsourced) Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented work environment Salary R60k to R100k pm
