Responsible for the Financial Management, Accounting and Consolidation function of the respective regions.
Financial and admin staff in the inland and coastal units, including but not limited to Unit Admin Managers, Unit Administrators & Unit Admin Clerks.
The ideal candidate is an individual with a BCom Degree in accounting with strong management and leadership skills and can operate under challenging conditions.
Daily review of stock control and margins and ensuring compliance to SOP’s.
Sound understanding of a financial control environment and the management thereof
Financial Reporting : Ensure accurate and complete monthly consolidation of financial results of the Region.Review of monthly financial results and commentary for accuracy.
Participate in monthly financial reporting meetings with regions / units.Accurate and timeously submission of monthly financial results to Support Centre within in the set deadlines.
Ensuring that debtors within your units pay timeously.
Daily support to General Manager and units
Work closely with the Region General Manager daily.Provide daily financial and administration support and oversight to units.Budgets
Prepare the annual budget for the region.
Accurate and timeously submission of annual budget to Support Centre.Forecast
Ensuring the Region’s financial results forecast is updated accurately and timeously.
Accurate and timeously submission of forecasts to Support Centre.Stock Management
Ensuring proper stock management at units.
Ensuring unit adhering to SOP’s.
Attend stock counts and ensure accurate and complete monthly & weekly reporting.Daily Reporting
Accurate and timeously submission of daily financial reporting to Support Centre.
Accurate and timeously submission of cash control to support centre.Fixed Asset Management
Ensure proper fixed asset management in the Region.
Ensure the Region’s fixed asset registers are accurate and kept current at all times.
Ensuring quarterly asset counts are performed and fixed asset registers updated accordingly.
Ensure adherence to internal controls regarding fixed assets including but not limited to additions, transfers, and disposals.
Review monthly payroll for region for accuracy and completeness, ensuring relevant approvals.
Ensure accurate and timeously submission of monthly payroll to Support Centre.Insurance
Handle insurance claims for the region where applicable.Approve Spend
Approve purchase orders where applicable ensuring spend is controlled and in line with Company Policies and Procedures.Cost management
Overview and review of the Region’s expenses, ensuring that expense budgets are adhered to.Liaison with External Parties
Regular meetings with external parties where required, such as customers within the region.
Always ensure professional appearance and behaviour.Staff Management
Manage and oversee the financial and administrative staff within the units ensuring regular support provided where needed.
