Responsible for divisional Finance Management and reporting
Responsible for provision and support in terms of commercial insight using forward looking driver information and analysing trends within the businesses, ensuring alignment and supporting decisions that are congruent with business and corporate-wide objectives
Together with the Commercial Executive, responsible for costing and pricing inputs as well as margin guidance and reporting to business
Communicates and drives adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and IFRS as well as the organization’s internal control framework and accounting policies
Fiduciary responsibility to represent financial results correctly both internally and externally
Responsible executive for divisional external audit and audit finding management (clean audit outcomes)
Custodian of business finance controls with specific emphasis on internal controls and commercial models including new pricing models
Partners with the business in ensuring optimal working capital management
Risk assessment and compliance
Lead, direct and manage the financial functions
Support of Corporate finance function within Group (including mergers, acquisitions and the preparation and submission of related concept and position papers)
Working capital management and reporting
Budget and forecasts compilation and driving adherence as well as reporting thereon
Support value added projects for AECI Water and the greater AECI Group.
Driving optimisation of systems and cost containment initiatives
Support implementation of commercial competence centres. (Market intelligence, best practices, logistics and compliance universe)
Support talent management and employment equity
Support the articulation and communication of the company’s strategy both internally and to the board
