This high performing business unit is looking for their next team member, a strong leader and rainmaker. The Sales Manager will take leadership role to develop, direct and manage all Flow Controls sales, service and educational services activities in Ambatovy, ACS Northern, KZN & Northern Cape territories as part of the South East African Region of Emerson Automation solutions, MEA as well as Product Specialist responsible for the Digital Valve Controller and Digital Valve Services business development in SEA region.
This is a critical role combining technical expertise with sales skills in a high-profile differentiation market - resulting in an impactful position This role reports into the Regional sales Manager Flow Controls -South & East Africa Region with a strong dotted line to the MEA IBU Leader - Instrumentation Technologies.
Leading Flow Controls Business Unit for solutions, products and services sales & business development initiatives in Ambatovy, ACS Northern, North Cape & KZN sales territory.
Developing and implementing plans for growth of IBU and new product launch across SEA.
Meeting or exceeding territory financial objectives (budget, POR, etc.) as required in support of the Flow Controls MEA business plan.
Understanding market through sales insights, market research and competitive analysis and collaborate across Emerson Business Units.
Creating specific strategy across South East Africa region and develop regional sales and LBP teams for growth of FIELDVUE instrumentation pursuing niche applications (SIS, ODV, PD).
Directing, developing, collaborating with and supporting sales representatives in the country.
Preparing implementation plans to migrate traditional analogue positioners, P / P & I / P by Emerson and competition with latest Fisher Digital technology aligned with end user digitization and digitalization roadmap.
Preparing and presenting marketing forecasts, pricing surveys, competitor intelligence and country marketing plans.
Working closely with Flow Control Valves and Cross Business Unit sales team to grow Instrumentation Business Unit, and Digital Transformation funnel.
Taking a pro-active role in working with the Valves Global Project Pursuit Team and local sales representative to identify, qualify and pursue valves projects to achieve order conversion and maximize the potential for valves Business Unit and all Emerson Automation Solutions products and services.
Developing long-term relationships with senior management within customer accounts to ensure awareness of the capabilities of Valves Business Unit and Emerson Automation Solutions.
Aligning closely with regional sales leader and global project pursuit entity and destination project execution in SEA region
Ensure Emerson Ethics and trade compliance procedures are strictly followed with all business transactions.
Preferably educated to degree level in an Engineering discipline
A minimum of 10-12 years' sales / sales channel management experience in the valve industry / process control industry
Track record of achieving sales targets and growing territory above market growth
Ability to consistently deliver profitable sales growth
Solid and proven track record combining technical expertise with relevant sales skills in similar Digital Valve technologies across Emerson’s verticals of interest (Hydrocarbon, Mining, Chemical, and Power industries)
