SENIOR LITIGATION ASSOCIATEThe ideal incumbent is a passionate and seasoned litigation attorney in commercial litigation matters with a specific focus on Banking, Financial and Company Law.
His / her purpose is to identify key legal issues and to deliver appropriate, timely, realistic and high quality solutions.
Duties and responsibilitiesLitigation in respect of debtors factoring agreements / discounting agreements, Agri-business and Commercial Property Finance accountsIn-
depth knowledge and experience in general litigationAbility to litigate in both Magistrates and High Courts (all courts in South Africa)Drafting of all pleadings, affidavits and notices etc.
in respect of both opposed and unopposed applications and defended and undefended actions.
Drafting of legal opinions in respect of legal issues governing the firms core businessUnderstanding of financial statements and insight into companies affairs, businesses, property and financial standingRepresenting liquidators in legal matters The ideal incumbent must meet the following requirementsLLB Degree with excellent academic transcriptsAdmitted as an attorney with at least 2 years' post article experienceCommercial Litigation experience with a specific focus on Banking, Financial, Company and Insolvency LawGeneral Litigation experienceMagistrate Court experienceAbility to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure Excellent computer skills (including Microsoft word, excel, outlook and Lexpro)Excellent communication Skills
