Computershare's People Team is in the process of transforming to one global People function, with one set of processes, policies, and a consolidated vendor approach, ultimately offering an amazing employee experience to everyone who works for the company.

As part of this transformation, we are about to embark on an Oracle Fusion implementation. Working as part of this project, you will have the opportunity to be involved in one of Computershare’s most complex and visible programmes as the Fusion deployment spans both the People and Finance teams, as well as being one of our corporate priorities.

A role you will love As our Payroll Process Lead, you will be responsible for working alongside our business transformation and system implementation partners, as well as Computershare SMEs, to revalidate the standardised, best practice global business processes we designed previously.

The revalidation will focus on what can be improved in the process knowing that we will be using Oracle Fusion HCM, confirming that all requirements have been captured and ensuring our philosophies are reflected within the processes.

You will be responsible for process improvements and change management efforts, with a major focus on driving local standardisation, process simplification and related initiatives.

As the Compensation Process Owner, you will work closely with the Change Management Team and the OD & Transition Lead to document any role / skills gaps that need to be bridged, ensuring sustainable change.

You will also be responsible for signing off on the process design (with support from the Head of People Services); supporting system configuration walk throughs, data migration efforts, and will lead testing completion for the area of compensation.

Other key responsibilities include : Provide global leadership, direction and oversight for the payroll processes based on best practice and professional experience.

Ensures that an excellent employee experience is at the forefront everyone’s mind during global process design. Accountable for assuring standardisation of global processes, with variance only for legal or regulatory reasons.

Maintenance and prioritisation of the compensation workstream plan and governance with the support of the People Transformation Project Manager.

Ensure that updates to standard operating procedures are processed ahead of go-live. What will you bring to the role? We are looking for you to have in-depth knowledge and understanding of the mechanics of administering payroll processes in a complex, global organisation.

You will understand the impact that a change to a payroll process has on other downstream People or Finance processes. Supporting the varying teams through the changes is key, so being able to support and motivate others, think on your feet, problem solve, and think outside the box are some key skills that you’ll need for this role.

Excellent communication is going to play a pivotal part in this role; You will have the capability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at varying levels, with the ability to motivate team members through a complex, global implementation.

You’ll also need : 5+ years of experience working within a global payroll team Experience working with third party vendors & consultancy partners Excellent organisation, documentation, and communication skills Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills (including upwards management) Demonstrated ability to proactively deliver against critical deadlines, working and adapting in ambiguous situations.

Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and work as part of a high-performing team. Practical experience working within a system implementation project and be involved with key activities such as testing, data migration, cutover etc.
