The primary objective of this role is to support the Document Product Management team in its development of Passport and ID card portfolio of solutions in Passports, ID cards, Chip Operating system and Personalization equipment.

Define and drive the product roadmap for Document Personalisation technology and systems for passports and ID card equipment in relation to new products, product applications, processes & upgrades Align roadmap with the CID Document innovation roadmap and existing project delivery requirements ProvideSupportto Pre-Sales, Sales, Commercial & Delivery as appropriate for the CID Document portfolio of Passports, ID cards, Chip Operating system and Personalization equipment 3rd Party Supplier Management & Evaluationfor the provision of personalisation equipment products.
Maintain knowledge of Competitor & SupplierOfferings & Customer Projects. Create and own functional requirements for hardware developments and customer projects.
As our Regional Product Manager, youll support HIDs successby : 1. Roadmap Development. Manage the efficient & cost effective development of agreed new or enhanced 1 / documents and 2 / personalization hardware through close relationships with the CID product development team and / or selected 3rd parties in accordance with agreed priorities and approved business cases.
2. Product Specifications. Ensure that new and existing products and features are correctly defined through functional requirements specifications linked to approval & qualification testing.
New & enhanced products must meet the functional requirements. 3. Competitor / Supplier Product Evaluation. Evaluation of competitor and supplier for 1 / documents portfolio and 2 / hardware personalisation technologies.
Work with 3rd parties associated with the provision of hardware and material products,Maintain close supplier relationships & commercial agreements.
4. Liaise with the Technical Community. Work with R&D, technical & product marketing functions across CID and HID to optimise synergies & ensure efficient technical communications on new & implemented projects.
5. Contribute to R&D projects. By providing knowledge of software interface requirements and equipment performance in use.
5. Technical Awareness & Knowledge. By market research, supplier relationships, attendance of conferences, exhibitions & seminars, ensure that relevant technical advances are known, communicated & utilised,Maintain close knowledge of supplier offerings & of international customer projects.
6. Specialist Expertise & Support to Pre-Sales, Sales & Commercial. Support the wider functions in the provision of solution design and technical expertise to commercial & sales on bids, opportunities and development activities.
7. Technical Training & Documentation. Provide technical training & produce technical product support material for 1 / documents and 2 / agreed hardware and material products.
8. Launch of New Products & Features & Support Materials. Support the internal launch of new products & features to the business.
Support the production of samples & other associated launch materials. 9. Reviews & Reporting. Reports & reviews as agreed with line management & timely project progress status.

Demonstrated experience in defining and launching high-technology products An understanding of Electronic passport & smart card technologies An understanding of Personalisation Equipment technology and materials.
An understanding of Product Management stage-gate processes Experience of managing and delivering product roadmaps to specification, budget and time to achieve competitive advantage.
Experience of managing suppliers & their resources for effective product development & issue resolution. Experience in producing product support materials & of undertaking product demonstrations and briefings.
Proven ability to provide technical input to cross-functional teams & able to communicate complex technical concepts simply to non-technical colleagues and clients.
