Reference Number : ENF0247Title : Ops Specialist : AuditPosition Reports to : Manager : AuditDivision : Enfrocement : Investigative AuditLocation : Thohoyandou, LimpopoJob PurposeTo provide expertise, advice and support to develop operational implementation plans and / or associated service delivery processes, planning and conducting multiple tax audits on a risk profile basis to ensure compliance to the relevant acts, in order to continuously enhance service deliveryOutputsAccumulate information to review work progress that provides input to reporting, decision making and the identification of improvement opportunities.

Apply practical and applied knowledge and act authoritatively on methods, systems and procedures to identify trends and potential risks.

Communication of situational interpretation and judgement of work outputs and queries in area of specialisation.Correctly apply policies, practices, standards, procedures and legislation in the delivery of work outputs.

Draw on own knowledge and experience to diagnose symptoms, causes and possible effects in order to solve emerging problems.

Initiate process and procedural change, implement the change and provide guidelines and support related to new requirements as a result of the change.

Plan for value-added process improvements, initiatives and services to deliver on operational strategy and objectives.Provide specialist input through the investigation of opportunities for operational and multiple process, product and risk optimisation.

Identify and resolve queries and problems timeously, apply discretion in line with process guidelines provided and escalate unresolved problems.

Be observant and engage on possible violations of procedures and standards of conduct and escalate where necessaryEffectively utilise resources allocated to the job in order to perform contracted work outputs and report on and escalate any shortfalls.

Plan and conduct multiple tax audits on a risk profile basis to ensure compliance to the relevant acts.Lead, plan and conduct full scope (integrated) audits to ensure compliance and report on findings and recommendations.

7 years' experience in Tax auditsORNational Diploma (NQF6) in Audit, Accounting, Finance, or related field with 8-10 years experience in Tax auditsORSenior Certificate with 10 years experience in Tax audit.

2-3 years at a functional specialist level within Tax auditThe ideal candidate will have the following competencies : AbilityDetermine trends from raw data to assist decision-

making in various aspects of work at SARS Create reports for various SARS stakeholders as relevant, in a lucid and effective manner, keeping in mind the purpose of the reports Organise, prioritise and, where applicable, delegate work activities to efficiently accomplish tasks and meet objectives Apply SARS auditing policies and procedures ExperienceData Collection and Analysis Determining taxpayer liability and ensures compliance Tax Compliance Auditing Financial Accounting KnowledgeOperational Audit Financial accounting principles, classifying, measuring and recording the transactions of SARS
