Consistency on Blowline pulp
Chlorine, Brightness, Freeness, % Consistency, and Cationic Demand on pulp off Belt Washer
Moisture on NSSC chips fed to the digester
Purity of Sodium Sulphite
Residual Sodium Sulphite , % solids, Fibre Content and pH on Weak Red Liquor
Sodium hydroxide concentration of Buffer Liquor
Sodium sulphite concentration of Cooking Liquor
Cleaning of equipment in the Laboratory
Calibrating of Brightness meter and Freeness Tester
Sampling and analysing of special samples requested
Maintenance of the dessicator
Maintenance of the eye wash bottle weekly
Entering data onto the logsheet and into the LIS system.
Collection of chemicals from the Main Lab
Maintenance of records as laid down in ISO procedures Environment :
Maintaining housekeeping in the Lab to ensure a safe and clean working environment People :
Attending Safety meeting and SBT meetings.
Perform weekly BBS observations

Understands the SHEQ requirements of the Section.
Maintains a high level of good housekeeping in the workplace at all time.
The ideal candidate should have :
Matric and / or N3 Pulp and Paper or equivalent
6 months industrial process control
Computer Literate (MS Office)
