Accountabilities Include :
Client Services ( 35% )
Help prepare new client files and accompany Business Development Managers to meetings where business will be concluded and service expectations discussed in addition to terms and conditions in the applications forms.
Assist with the On-boarding process of new clients.
Handle queries and enquiries coming through telephonically or via a designated mailbox ( ie clients, administrators, trustees, auditors etc ).
Liaise with other business areas in order to deliver quality results to clients and administrators ie Absa Corporate and Investment Bank, Retail and Business Bank.
Professional liaison with clients on new business, maintenance as well as any restructuring of portfolios through switches.
Produce welcome letters and confirmation of maintenance work done on portfolios.
Distribute daily Money Market Rates.
Produce regular clients statement (daily, weekly , monthly and ad hoc).
Produce client reports (ie Reg 28 Report).
Send out quarterly requests for clients / administrators to send Absa Fund Managers updated information should there have been changes the business is not aware of (ie signatories, director changes etc ).
Engage in projects meant to enhance overall client efficiency and experience ( ie remediation project ).
Handle and resolve complaints and where required, escalate within a reasonable timeframe as guided by SLAs in place.
Administration (35 %)
Perform Tier 1 checking (FICA) of new business by coordinating multiple sources of information for complete checking and verification, ie CIPC, KYC 360.
Screen clients through an in-house system to further ensure there are no major legal restrictions in taking the business on (ie Politically exposed persons and US persons etc ).
Update the new business tracker and proactively report on trends identified for effective measures to be taken for a favourable outcome in refining processes.
Update the masterlist regularly and G : drive.
Check and verify repurchase instructions to ensure there has not been any changes to the current mandates.
Relationship Management (20%)
Foster close relationships with key areas ( ie, ABAM, Governance and Control, operations, Pension Fund administrators, etc ).
Inform the Business Development Managers of any changes and trends experienced both internally and externally.
Contribute towards the development and monitoring of SLA with key areas.
Keep abreast of industry regulatory changes for effective incorporation in business processes as guided by legal and compliance as well.
Contribute towards a service culture that is forward looking and solutions driven through innovative ideas and implementation thereof.
Attend internal meeting for applicable updates and attend external gatherings where beneficial.
Essential / Basic Qualifications
South African Institute of Financial Markets (SAIFM) Certificate or equivalent to NQF level 5
3 years in Institutional Business client relationship management , investment operations or investments compliance
Asset Management administrative processes knowledge
Knowledge of Investment industry
