  • To be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals also to maintain strict deadlines and within budget.

  • Further the role of the Regional Project Manager includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-
  • party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Regional Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout project life cycle.

  • Accountable for deliverables including budget, monitoring costs, timely completion of the project, quality and safety.
  • Have full oversight, responsibility and accountability for management of contractors, meeting established milestones on a timely basis.
  • Overall program management, client liaison, as well as guiding and mentoring local staff in the execution of their project related responsibilities.

  • Oversee and monitor site swap work progress to ensure schedule is meeting major milestones according to the plan.
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of project scope and prepare status reports for management
  • Responsible for safe and incident free execution of assigned projects, on time and within budget.
  • Work with project teams to drive program / project schedules and contract deliverables with a focus on delivering on every commitment made to the customer.
  • Optimize resources and identify areas where resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
  • Job requirements :

  • Educational background :
  • With the background of telecommunication and experience of Project Management for at least 3 operators.
  • Telecommunications Degree or Engineering Degree.
  • Work experience :
  • At least 5 years of experience from the relevant area within the telecoms industry, preferably within Huawei Technologies or any other vendor / operator
  • Experience in management on an international level.
  • Knowledge and skills required :
  • Proficient computer skills including a proficiency in various software used such as : MS Excel, MS Power Point, MS Word, MS Project, MS Visio;
  • Certifications in the discipline of Project Management with accreditations such as PMP (Project Management Professional)
  • General Telecom Knowledge with understanding of Core Network (Packet Service and Circuit Service), Transmission network, Wireless Network (UMTS, GSM Wimax, etc)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to establish and maintain cooperative and harmonious working relationship within a multicultural work environment.
  • Equipped with in-depth understanding of telecom industry, particularly in Project Management and have been exposed from project definition, implementation, and project acceptance.
  • Superior project management capabilities and a proven track record in assuming overall responsibility
  • Capability of understanding the customers' requirements in the communications industry and communicating with the customers;
  • Demonstrated project management and technical abilities; experience with managing various stakeholders including local government
  • Excellent communication skills. Drives and participates in negotiations, understands changes and subsequent impacts, and able to communicate these changes effectively to the team.
  • Willingness to work and respond to customer complains 24 x 7.
  • Good planning and organizational skills

  • External : Customers, Service & Resource Provider, Sub-contractors
  • Authorities :
  • Checks and Verifies Regional expenses, e.g. claims, kilometers and overtime within RPM approval scope in accordance with Company Policy.
  • Represents Huawei in all business activities within the Scope of Responsibilities of an RPM.

  • Follow MTN absolute rules during all swap scenarios

  • Work environment : Regional-based
  • On call : 100% availability as per project
  • Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
