The Insurance Administration Manager will oversee and manage the insurance requirements regarding the insurance policies taken out for Body Corporates and act as liaison between the Faircape Group and the insurer.

We are looking for a broker to head a brokerage whose clients are predominantly Body Corporates. As a broker you will serve as the primary liaison between insurers and Body Corporates.

The Broker will serve midsize to large body corporates and perform policy contract reviews, approach the market and negotiate competitive terms and conditions.

Duties will include, but are not limited to : * Manage team of 2 staff members * Understand and discuss Body Corporates requirements with the market, negotiate risks accordingly and obtain the best deal / quote, plus alternatives (risk covered and premium) from the market* Advise on how the client can improve loss ratios * Marketing business to increase client base* Place Policies accordingly (including SASRIA where necessary)* Ensure that firm order has been received from trustees before finalizing placement with the market* Ensure that the insurer issued Policy Documents have been received, checked and provided to Body Corporates within 30 days of inception / renewal* Produce and ensure accuracy of Policy Wordings and Renewal Premium Comparison Schedules* Contribute to process improvements and effective utilization and improvement of systems* Maintain good internal relationships with fellow colleagues and help to develop others by passing on skills and knowledge (technical, market and industry)* Maintain and develop market / underwriting relationships through excellent verbal and written communication with the market at all stages of the process* Stay abreast of product changes and enhancements* Be compliant in all activities in accordance with Sectional Title Scheme Act regulations and standards of all Insurance regulations and professional guidelines and ethics* Maintain appropriate skills and knowledge in order to provide specialist, professional advice in all relevant business areas* Consolidated summary of annual insurance ensuring that the schedule balances* Confirmation of risk profile* Analysis of each building to determine insurance rating* Site visits to ensure any risks highlighted are managed* Ensure valuations are done in a way to tie back to insurance cover* Ensure claims are processed timeously* Manage outstanding claims* Compiling of monthly reports, i.

e. claims, renewals, risk surveys and valuations* Gathering of data, review procedures and identify ways to reduce risk and promote, support and coordinate its implementation* Ensure identification and management of risk is understood by all*Requirements*Qualification : * Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline* Obtain an FSB recognised qualification and complete the RE Level 1 ro Level 5 examinations before you may work independently as an Insurance Agent.

  • FAIS Credits (min 30 credits in short term insurance if date of first appointment is before 2010);or if date of first appointment is on or after 01 / 01 / 2010, a full recognised qualification as per the FSCA qualification list.
  • FAIS Regulatory examination for Representatives (RE5)* 12 CPD (continuous professional development) pointsExperience & Knowledge : 3 years proven experience as an Insurance Broker* All required regulatory exams and accreditation* Risk management skills* Negotiating skills * Broad knowledge of building regulations and ability to keep updated with new legislation* Ability to interpret insurance policies advantageous* Understanding of evaluations advantageous Skills & Attributes : * Enthusiastic team player with strong relationship building skills* A good analytical mindset, evidenced by previous fact-based decision making and excellent problem solving skills* Computer literate* Strong Excel skills* Excellent administrative skills* Good written and verbal communication skills* Data handling skills* Numerical abilitySpecific
