Our client is looking to employ an HR / Payroll Administrator in Johannesburg.

Payroll Administration

  • Collate and check salary payroll information.
  • Conduct Month End Reports and ensure benefits, and all other earnings related third party schedules are reconciled and sent through for payment prior to deadlines.
  • Conduct regular Payroll Audits to ensure accurate and up to date information.
  • Provide HR Manager with Payroll and HR Stats and reports monthly
  • Staff Recruitment

  • Prepare advertisements, source suitable candidates, perform background and reference checks, shortlist candidates, arrange interviews, attend all interviews, regret unsuccessful candidates.
  • Provide and schedule staff orientations / inductions.
  • HR & Employee Benefits Administration

  • Administer and process the Death & Disability Claims process.
  • Administer and process the Discovery Health removal of or addition of new members.
  • Create and send out notices to staff i.e. Internal Announcements; Annual salary reviews, pension statements, IRP5’s etc.
  • Compliance

  • Required to complete and update job descriptions and ensure their accuracy.
  • Ensure that staff files are up to date and filing is done at all times.
  • Employee Wellness

  • Identify & organise charity and wellness / awareness initiatives.
  • Employment Equity

  • Assist with compiling data for Annual EE reporting to Department of Labour.
  • Update employee movements on Axiopay - Payspace
  • Organizational development

  • Development / maintenance of HR policies and procedures.
  • HR alignment with BEE strategy.
  • Support with Leanership program
  • Remuneration

  • Assist the HR Manager with the preparation of data for salary benchmarking and grading.
  • Ensure compliance regarding company documents and participation in Benchmarking Surveys.

  • Training and Development

  • Investigation and identification of most applicable local courses for staff development and training (SETA Accredited courses).
  • Maintaining the Training Schedule for the company and preparation of the annual ATR / WSP.
  • Assistance with training plan preparation and maintenance.
  • General & Projects

  • Any ad-hoc assistance required by the HR Manager.

  • Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Matric
  • Completed Bachelor’s Degree Business Administration, Human Resources or Psychology with atleast 2-3 years experince, or, currently studying towards with 3 years relevant experience in HR and payroll administration.
  • Intermediate computer literacy MS Office. Excel - advanced, Outlook and professional presentation skills required.
