An opportunity has become available for a Credit Manager to join the team in Bryanston, Johannesburg. The main purpose of the role will be to effectively manage Working Capital Debtors and minimise risk in the Business Units.

This role will be reporting directly to the Accounts Receivables Executive and will have a team to manage. - Please note that this job expire at any time, for operational reasons.

1. Credit ManagementIn conjunction with business units develop, implement and maintain a credit policy that is aligned with business and statutory requirementsEnsure that internal policies are in accordance to the National Credit ActIn conjunction with credit bureaus Important Company and maintain a credit assessment processImplement and monitor levels of authority for terms, credit limits, legal debtors and write-

offs. Develop and implement a clear transactional processing policy for authorization, exception reporting, batches and sign offExpedite cash flow within customers trading terms through a robust collection processDevelop and maintain an environment that is balanced between minimizing risk and maintaining turnover growthCommunicate potential bad debt to the business units and institute processes to recover losses where possible, be this via legal action or internal processesEstablish and monitor internal controls to mitigate riskContinually analyse the effectiveness of transactional standards and where necessary take corrective stepsDisplay an appetite for Credit and Reporting automationDrive innovation2.

Relationship ManagementMaintain a customer-focused environment with an emphasis on understanding the customers- requirements and through collaboration with the business units meeting such requirementsUnderstand business units service and reporting expectations and driving these expectations throughout the departmentEstablish relationships with external customers that will add innovation to meeting customer and business unit requirementsDetect and resolve breakdowns in service delivery to business units or issues / concerns raised by customers, so as to ensure productive relationships.
