Role overview :

The Group’s Information Technology are looking to expand their front office systems implementation team. The team is responsible for all aspects of the implementation of investment systems.

The ideal candidates will have a mixture of experience including asset management knowledge (Compliance, Portfolio Management, Trading and Valuations), Integration tools, business analysis, project experience, relationship management and implementation experience.

Team members must be comfortable working individually or as part of a large and complex implementation project team, dealing with all the associated aspects of an investment project.

Key Result Areas :

  • Perform interviews, documenting workflows and converting these documents into specifications in line with provided standards to ensure Best Practice delivery.
  • Providing on-going communication on progress of work items and status updates.
  • Work alongside senior business analysts / project managers to create the necessary continuity on the quality and duration of work items.
  • Undertaking the daily execution of the allocated work items.
  • Ensuring that the Client’s and user’s needs are understood and documented.
  • Providing guidance on process improvements based on knowledge of Front Office systems.
  • Convert business requirements, workflows and data flows to test scenarios and executing the tests in line with test protocols and standards.
  • Monitoring and assisting with the issue escalation process.
  • Responding to additional product requests.
  • Assisting with the knowledge transfer to internal staff at the conclusion of the project.
  • Development / refinement of reports including coding to the vendor API (Application Programming Interface), SQL extracts and SSRS report development.
  • Requirements : Skills, Qualifications and Experience required

  • Extensive experience in a similar role implementing financial systems.
  • Strong Investments experience including portfolio management, compliance, trading, data / integration requirements and integration.
  • Applications experience including Bloomberg, Charles River and NX Manager or any other investments front office system.
  • Good Investment Management and market instrument / Data knowledge Front Office workflows; Including Fixed Income, derivatives, Equity, Compliance Trading, portfolio management, Corporate Events.
  • Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in English.
  • University degree ideally in a Finance or Technology discipline.
  • Additional requirements :

  • Has superior client facing skills
  • Some technical knowledge, ideally Python, SQL & Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, Power BI and Microsoft suite of products
  • Experience dealing with users or clients from either a technical or business area
  • Comfortable documenting workflows and dataflows.
  • Experience working as part of a project team delivering against tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality, and an understanding of the project life cycle.
  • Depending on the COVID 19 levels during the project timeline the role may involve working remotely or physically at the company’s premises.
  • For remote work the candidate requires stable fibre connectivity.
