Head : Project Management Office & Business Analysis

  • Implementation of Project Management and Business Analysis methodologies, processes and systems.
  • Management of cross functional relationships and resource dependencies.
  • Contribution to the achievement of strategic objectives of the Business by facilitating delivery of projects.
  • Drive the prioritisation of projects, based on input from the relevant business cases.
  • Manage competing priorities with diplomacy and flexibility while paying close attention to timelines and expected results.
  • Review Business Requirement Specifications (BRS) to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with issues related to business specifications, whilst ensuring the project objective and sokution is being clearly articulated and understood.
  • Assist with alignment between the business analysts (BA''''s) and the technical interpretation thereof.
  • Management of the project office and appropriate structure optimisation aligned to the project deliverables.
  • Roll-out planning and delivery monitoring against agreed timelines.
  • Critical Issue and Risk Management within programme management.
  • Careful monitoring of expense budgets as well as project budgets.
  • Portfolio reporting.
  • Centralised delivery resource planning and management.
  • Chair Steercoms, project forums and presentation at Exco meetings, workshops etc.
  • Assist with the escalation and resolution of critical project constraints.
  • Manages, mentors and develops a high performing team.
  • Complete performance appraisals, take corrective action when appropriate, and participate in the hiring process and decisions.
  • Matric and relevant tertiary education
  • Agile project management qualification e.g. Agile practitioner, Safe 4 agilest
  • Project Management qualification e.g. PMP, Prince 2
  • Minimum 5 years'''' project management and 2 years'''' business analysis experience
  • Programme / portfolio management experience in the financial services / insurance industry, with exposure to IT projects and business analysis will be advantageous
  • Degree or Diploma with 6 to 8 years related experience
