Job Description :

A project management office, headed up by Charl Kleynhans is being set up to service the management of projects within NuPay, ACS and Delter IT.

The Project Management Office (PMO) will strive to standardize and introduce economies of repetition in the execution of projects and will be the source of documentation, guidance and metrics on the practice of project management and project execution.

Tasks may include monitoring and reporting on active projects and reporting progress to top management for strategic decisions on what projects to continue or cancel.

It is also the body that will link business strategy to the projects that such strategies require.

One vacancy exists for one of the above-mentioned roles at ACS and one at Delter IT. The role filled by the successful applicant will depend on the applicant’s skills, knowledge, experience and qualifications.

Job Requirements :

Project manager : responsible for accomplishing the stated project objectives.

  • Must balance both internal and external stakeholder interests and keep both sides in sync over time.
  • Must understand customers’ requirements, address their changing needs and manage the dynamics of those changes.
  • However, they must also manage those changes throughout the enterprise, vendors, suppliers and partners.

    Project coordinator : responsible for accomplishing the stated project objectives.

  • The role and responsibilities of a Project Coordinator are a subset of that of a Project Manager.
  • The primary responsibility of a project coordinator is to keep the project and all related processes running smoothly.
  • Project administrator : responsible for organizing the necessary team members and specializes in facilitating, reporting and analyzing projects under the supervision of a project manager / coordinator.

    Project responsibilities include :

  • Creating clear and attainable project objectives,
  • Building the project requirements,
  • Managing the constraints of the project management triangle, which are cost, time, scope, and quality.
  • Developing the project plans
  • Managing the project stakeholders and Project team.
  • Managing the project risk and schedules.
  • Managing the project budget, conflicts and delivery.
  • Planning the financial budget necessary for the project
  • Coordinating with his / her team members frequently for updates regarding the work in progress
  • Monitoring the progress of the project and acknowledging team suggestions
  • Supervising the team members and ensuring that guidelines are met
  • Initiating the project or contract and working until the project is completed
  • Discussing updates with senior officials and the client
  • Qualifications required :

    Qualification / certificate in project management preferred

    Minimum requirements :

    Minimum 1 year’s project administration / co-ordination / management experience

    Personal attributes preferred :

    Proactive, detail-orientated, good interpersonal and communication skills
