Position Description :

A demanding and challenging opportunity has arisen within the Analytics Centre of TFG for a dynamic, highly motivated individual to assist in the delivery of analytical solutions and actionable customer insights that improves customer centric business decisions and strategies across the TFG retail brands.

Job description :

  • Part of a team that develops data driven customer insights that influence business decisions and deliver commercial benefits across a number of areas :
  • Brand strategy and positioning
  • Marketing / CRM strategy
  • Merchandise strategies
  • Store location strategies
  • Develop customer segmentation and predictive models from all available data sources for credit and cash rewards customers shopping across all channels, with the guidance of the Customer Analytics Manager.
  • Work with the Marketing Intelligence team to deliver customer database insights as part of broader customer research projects.
  • Creative packaging of customer insights and statistical models with a strong focus on data visualisation.
  • Effective communication and presentation of analytical results to different stakeholders (strong data story telling skills).
  • Use appropriate statistical methodology and data mining / analytical techniques within model development process.
  • To take up this challenging positi on you should have :

  • A B degree in a numerate discipline, preferably Statistics / Mathematics (honours degree preferable)
  • Knowledge and experience in statistical software packages (SAS / SPSS) SAS Enterprise Miner would be advantageous.
  • Experience in ppredictive modeling and customer segmentation
  • Hands-on experience of large-scale customer database data interrogation and manipulation
  • Excellent data interpretation skills
  • A customer centric approach
  • Good strategic and conceptual abilities
  • Advanced problem solving
  • Working as an Analytics Specialist you will have strong communications skills and be a good team player. You will also need to be numerate with a strong commitment to the improvement of customer strategy.

    Preference will be given, but not limited to, candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act.
