Dis-Chem Pharmacies Head Office based in Midrand has an opportunity available for an experienced Systems Facilitator to join the team.

This person will be responsible for managing all activities relating to the development, maintenance, presentation and assessment of training and development programmes on software programs used by Dis-Chem

Essential :

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Minimum 5 years’ facilitation experience within the Retail / IT industry.
  • Knowledge of the practical application of the Adult Learning Theory and EDTP principles.
  • Sound understanding of positive coaching techniques.
  • Basic SAP knowledge.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Driver’s license and own reliable transport.
  • Advantageous :

  • Tertiary Qualification in Human Resources, Education, Training and Development (Moderation, Assessment and Facilitation).
  • Advanced SAP knowledge.
  • Previous training or experience in Education, Training and Development Practices.
  • Accredited Facilitator, Moderator and Assessor.

  • Optimise the training portfolio by customising training based on target audience and distinguishing between training for management and employees.
  • Compile training programmes for various systems used within the company.
  • Design curriculums by establishing proficiency levels and combining different courses.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly administration to be submitted to the various SETAs .
  • Conduct research in order to provide input to the Training Strategy pertaining to computer systems used by Dis-Chem.
  • Optimise the training portfolio for systems by keeping abreast of industry trends and new updates to certain programs.
  • Prepare documentation for skills and development audits.
  • Provide Organisational Development Manager with a project plan to address scarce and critical systems training.
  • In Coordination with Organisational Development Manager monitor budget of training programmes / discretionary grants.
  • Ensure effective implementation and presentation of different systems training plans within Dis-Chem.
  • Ensure that a supportive and conducive adult learning environment is maintained at all times.
  • Mentor learners through the learning programme.
  • Compile and Administer assessments in order to test attendees’ knowledge before and after training.
  • Standardise the format of Portfolios Of Evidence (POE’s) and manage all functions related to POE’s.
  • General Administration duties related to training such as filing, booking of venues, ensuring that
  • Submit monthly progress training reports.
  • Ensure accurate and clear communication is given through to the relevant Dis-Chem stakeholders.
  • Consult with internal clients in order to attend to requests and action solutions based on enquiries.
  • Keep accurate record of relevant documents.
  • Ensure effective communication regarding training with relevant branches.
  • Essential :

  • Proficient in English Read, Write and Speak.
  • Basic knowledge of budgets, invoices, payments and TAX.
  • Able to present to a classroom without difficulty.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Customer orientation, organisation sensitivity, social awareness, thoroughness, interpersonal relations.
  • Ability to interact with stakeholders at different levels.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Be able to analyse any training and development reports / needs analysis.
  • Problem solving, planning and organising analytical thinking.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Creative thinking, ethics, flexibility, result orientated, accountability, adaptable, focus on quality, target and deadline driven.
  • Excellent time management skills. Strong project management skills. Creativity in a classroom.
