The successful candidate will be responsible for site inspections on stands and electricity meters to obtain accurate metering information.
This person will be monitoring the contractor working on 5 different sites where the contractor will be relocating the electricity meters from the houses to the protective structures on the site walk.
Candidate must have knowledge of the different types of electricity meters and connections.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE)
Must be a Qualified Electrician with a valid trade test Qualification
Further Tertiary qualification will serve as an advantage
Solid Map reading abilities
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Meter inspections
Must be able to Read, Write and communicate fluently in English
Must be willing to work over time
Valid Driver’s License
Must be a person of strong integrity and self-disciplined
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES :
Monitor the appointed Contractor’s work
Inspect Meters relocated and Meter Kiosk for proper installation by Contractor
Monitor the Health and Safety requirements are followed correctly by the contractor
Provide accurate and trustworthy information to all stakeholders
Communicate with office staff, contractor and Project Manager daily to solve problematic stands and meters
Do safety walks on site
Advise the contractor how to record the information on the job card and take proper photos for the infrastructure.
Adhere to all safety regulations
Ensure safe keeping of all Testing equipment and other tools as provided by the company
Conduct all inspections as per training sessions
Ensure safe keeping of any keys issued and
Any other duties than may be deemed necessary by Management
