Admissions Officerjob descriptionLOCATIONWindermere Preparatory SchoolJOB PURPOSEYou will be responsible for creating an outstanding experience for new and prospective parents and as families progress from initial inquiry through to and including the childs first day at school, thereby maximizing the conversion of leads into new startersREPORTING TODirector of Admissions and marketingDIRECT REPORTSNoneOTHER KEY RELATIONSHIPSInternal : School SLT and StaffParents and StudentsExternal : Visiting FamiliesJob ResponsibilitiesProvide high-level customer service via email, telephone, and face to face communications with prospective parents, agents, students, feeder schools and Windermere Preparatory Schools wider networkEnsure prospective students and parents are guided and encouraged through the admissions process in a professional, helpful and efficient way.

  • Meet and exceed admissions budget provided by DAMIncreasing conversion rates and ensuring an increasing number of strong candidates for WPSAssist the DAM in planning, organizing and delivering successful admissions events including open mornings, entrance assessments, open house, and all admissions gatheringsKnowledge of admissions policies, standards, and proceduresEnsure prospective parents, students and feeder schools are informed of entry and interview dates in a timely and professional mannerCoordinate with members of academic staff to organize meetings with prospective parents as required or neededEnter and maintain application data at all stages of the admissions process, including tours / visits, initial application, acceptance status and enrollment statusIdentify MS and HS Applicants applying for Financial Aid and Communicate accordingly with the Financial Aid CommitteeFinancial Aid Lead including Notifying Families of Reminders to Apply and DecisionsUpdate of all Admissions Documents and filesDSO for WPS, oversee the issuance, transfer, maintenance of i20s and I17 UpdatesReview all Admissions files with the DAMCommunicating Admissions Decisions, Missing Documents and Contract Status to FamiliesRe-enrollment Process, New Student Contract Request and Enrollment Tracker UpdatesUpdate and stay current in Salesforce re : Family Correspondence, Tours and Information UpdatesObserve Grade Level Classes for Training Purposes and Better Representation of SchoolAssist with Identifying Opportunities and Engaging with Community Partners / Potential Feeder SchoolsDaily Correspondence with Families as NeededCollaborate and Assist with all Back to School Events, Prospective Student / Family Events, Admissions Testing, Residential Life Events and Community OutreachRepresent WPS on Campus and at Community EventsAttend Regional MAC Calls, Conferences and Trainings as deemed appropriateCoordinate and Communicate the Withdrawal of Students with Academic Divisions and AdministratorsSpecial Projects including, but not limited to strategies for enrollment growth, more productivity as a team and efficiencyPerform all other related duties assigned by the DAMQualifications and ExperienceBachelors degree required, plus two years related experience in an educational settingIT skills with knowledge of relevant software applications including MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and database skills are essentialStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders and cross-continent teamsGood literacy skills to prepare correspondence and maintain records to a high standardPersonal QualitiesExcellent organizational and time-management skillsAbility to work quickly and accurately with excellent attention to details in order to meet deadlinesAbsolute discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all timesEvidence of continual willingness to develop own professional skillsExcellent interpersonal and relationship management skills at all levelsAbility to work well in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environmentHave a proactive approach to work;
