Purpose of the Role

Support management with program deliverables, timing and milestones

Key Responsibilities :

  • The Program Management function is a key functional pillar within IMG PD that provides business unit support to LEA activities to ensure on time delivery of product programs that fully meet regional requirements and operating conditions profitably.
  • Maintain Book of knowledge of the region, including regulations, unique market requirements, customer preferences
  • Ensure applicable IMG input for
  • Lead development of supplementary IMG milestone papers and present to IMG SAR for approval
  • Participate in key GPDS gateways to support the carline teams to develop products suitable for IMG Markets.
  • Lead local assumptions PAT. Coordinate with Global PM to input regional product requirements. Ensure costs and investments are appropriate for MEA needs.
  • Ensure IMG cycle plan vehicles meet specific market requirements , including where applicable the improvement of company products to better meet market needs.
  • Develop program level workplans and track local and global program progress.
  • Participate in Global PST, VLD and other relevant meetings.
  • Develop IMG bundles - RHD / LHD, Regulations, etc for complexity rationalization
  • Lead PD / Marketing / Manufacturing / FCSD interface with functional leads
  • Deliver
  • Evaluate and validate new vehicle programs prior to launch
  • Single point of contact for / to LEA for IMG markets for respective programs
  • Act as Single point of contact to IMG Program Management for Southern Africa product programs
  • Successful global program gateway approvals incorporating all MEA requirements.
  • Successful program milestones at IMG SAR / PRC as per program timing plan
  • Minimum experience & qualifications required

  • B Degree in Engineering. Business degree to complement preferred
  • Knowledge of GPDS preferable
  • Excellent Engineering background and understanding (Technical, Program Management, Organizational and Budget)
  • Behavioral skills required

  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple programs effectively
  • Highly motivated self starter who drives for results, practices tenacity, and does what it takes to get the job done
  • Ability to work within a very culturally and functionally diverse environment
  • Impeccable integrity and prudence, good attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrably strong teamwork with peers, cross-functionally, internationally and with Leadership
  • Excellent English language written, verbal, communication and presentation skills
  • Flexibility for occasional early morning and frequent evening work due to time zone difference with global work partners.
