Purpose of the Job :

The Contracts Security Manager will be reporting to the Key Accounts Manager. The primary responsibility of the Contracts Security Manager to ensure effective and efficient security operations of the Site.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Enforce the Company Disciplinary Code of Conduct

Adopt an initiative geared towards Security Operational Excellence

Improve the Security operational systems, process, policies and procedures, management reporting, information flow, and Client relations.

Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the allocated Security Operations team

Coordinate and communicate between support Departments, integrated Operational Teams and Clients

Intimately familiar with the Security Service requirements of each Client

Ensure that all Security Services personnel are operating and performing their duties according to the Site Job Description

Lead and manage the on-site training and recruitment functions of Security Services personnel to ensure that the Contracts operational needs are met

Attend weekly / monthly Client meetings and provide security solutions that are Site specific to the Client for consideration, so as to ensure excellent service delivery

Attend regular Operations meetings with Senior Management Teams

Implement effective controls and monitoring Processes

Participate in site investigations and report findings

Perform Risk Assessments and Security Service Survey

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

PSIRA Grade A Registered

Matric Certified

Firearm Competency (Hand Gun, Shot Gun and Rifle)

5-10 years of direct Management experience in Security

Security Management Qualification will be advantageous

Strong background of Health and Safety environment

Drivers Licence Code 8 and own reliable vehicle

Risk Assessment and Site Survey experience

SHEQ Qualification will be an advantageous

3-5 years in Retail Operations

Solid Computer Proficiency
