Collections committee managementFacilitate the scheduling of monthly Payment committee meetings ensuring attendance of key membersManage the timely preparation, validation, and distribution of relevant Payments pack submissionsMonitor key risk indicators monthly and identify, research, and escalate anomaliesProvide ad hoc analysis as required to support collections and payments pack submissionsIdentify and investigate areas of key strategic interest in respect of collections performance(efficiencies)and management Payments functionEnsure effective model implementation and optimal collections decisioning and improved collections cash flow : Design bespoke collections scorecards that segment and rank order risk.

Entails the development, validation, and implementation of collections models. (i.e. activation, contactibility, collections call ranking, striking models)Implement payment strategies and support payment processes within the ambit of PASA and NCR.

This includes the successful implementation of Debicheck and any other changes authorised and regulated by the two bodies that may impact the collections policy.

3. Design data driven risk-based Payment Strategies (i.e. pay date and wage types). Good understanding of the striking platforms, patterns, and portfolio sensitivity towards calendar days.

Optimise payments (strike success and cash collected) based on these statistical models. Perform champion / challenger tests and continuously challenge the cost to collect across various collections streams.

Data standards and Reporting Frameworks are maintained within collections.Ensure continuous improvement in the data, set up automated daily and monthly reporting on all key metrics and strategy outcomesOversee the stability and availability of the collections analytical platform, specifically the collections data mart and access toolsManage the analysis of ad hoc investigations and provide solutions and recommendations to the businessFacilitate changes to payments policy and procedures based on findingRefine analytical methodologies and data presentation formats on an ongoing basisRDARR owner for payments metricsStay abreast of industry changes and ensure compliance to changes where necessaryGovernance and Adherence by ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements and maintaining healthy relations with regulators (National Credit Act, Consumer Protection Act, Code of Banking Practice) Operational Support Monitor key areas of the business independently to act as a 2nd line of defence and protect the business from riskSupport in ad hoc analyses to foster collaboration and build relationships across the business Payment Engine Manage the implementation and maintenance of new and existing payment processes and changes through the systems (i.
