MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum qualifications : Grade 12 / N3 & Trade certificate
  • 2 years appropriate experience
  • Computer literacy
  • Drivers licence
  • Requirements

  • Experience in planning maintenance operations
  • Solid understanding of technical aspects of, mechanical systems.
  • Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment
  • Ability to keep track of and report on daily activity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Define and adhere to standards :
  • Plans, performs and manages design, modification and improvements to industrial services plant, equipment and infrastructure.
  • Utilising own area of competency and specialisation or with competent 3rd parties.

  • Manage existing assets :
  • Supports operation of industrial services to ensure high efficiency, quality and compliance. Assists in the budgeting and cost monitoring of industrial services.
  • Identifies and drives energy and water saving opportunities.

  • Ensures process and personnel safety with regard to industrial services plant and equipment. From design and installation through to routine and periodic safety inspections and audits.

  • Duties

  • Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues
  • Plan and oversee repair and installation activities
  • Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
  • Manage relationships with clients, contractors, and service providers.
  • Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities
  • Ensure health and safety policies are complied with
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety, environment, quality and housekeeping in section.
  • Apply fault-finding techniques, conduct root cause failure analysis and regular plant inspections.
  • Clean, maintain and repair mechanical parts, components and equipment as directed by the Manager.
  • Conduct regular plant and steel structures inspections.
  • Carry out workshop fabrication, equipment assembly and installation.
  • Complete breakdown and preventive maintenance work orders, create subsequent notifications, and provide feedback on work performed.
  • Attain and maintain relevant licences and authorisations required to execute allocated duties e.g. Basic Rigging, Working at Heights.
