A well-established global chemical distribution company requires the above to expand and develop the company’s market presence by creating and implementing an effective Sales strategy as well as building strong relationships with clients and strategic key suppliers.
Minimum requirements for the role :
Previous product or account management experience calling on the Polymer and Plastics or Rubber or related industries selling chemical raw materials into the manufacturing industries is essential.
Tertiary qualification is preferred but not essential.
Computer literacy with working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.
A valid driver’s licence is essential.
The successful candidate must be able to travel locally and internationally when required to do so.
Manage suppliers and principles.
Providing technical support for the Sales team and their customers.
Assisting in the development of supplier products within South Africa and neighboring countries.
Maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions and competitors.
Identifying new business opportunities.
Participating in setting pricing solutions.
Attending and participating in industry events.
Developing key customer relationships.
Providing training on all New Product Development products from suppliers on a regular basis.
Identifying opportunities for campaigns, fairs, services and distribution channels that will increase sales.
Reporting both internally and to principles.
