Qualifications

  • A Grade12 / Matric certificate (Essential).
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Administration or related field would be a definite advantage.
  • Proficiency in the latest Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

  • Experience

  • Previous experience (preferably 2 years) in an Administrative or Buyer’s Assistant role (preferably in a Retail / Buying environment).
  • Proficiency in the latest Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Key Responsibilities

    1. To execute all administration relating to the procurement process :

  • Tendering processes
  • Preparation of discussion documents
  • Capture & monitor purchase orders
  • Style cards & sample management
  • Assist with managing on-time delivery by following-up on all samples
  • 2. To provide general assistance to the Buyer / s with :

  • Preparation of business plans (i.e. samples)
  • Preparation for all merchandise related activities that require product to be pulled, sorted, ordered and hung
  • Suppliers queries, answering phones, mark-downs & general administration
  • 3. To communicate and follow-up effectively with all relevant internal and external customers / role
