Job Description & Summary

A career in Knowledge Management, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to play an integral part of knowledge sharing across the PwC network so that we can continually provide better service to our clients.

You’ll help organise and manage various sources of information as well as provide research support for internal and external clients.

Our Research team supports internal leaders through research and data analytics to provide actionable insights. You’ll work with our team to examine news media, litigation resources, securities violations, and other applicable sources and will summarise adverse findings for the investigating team.

You’ll also routinely provide procedural support to practitioners navigating PwC’s client risk assessment requirements and tools.

    The Library / Research Specialist is responsible for delivering research and insights, through a shared services model that supports PwC Africa member firms.

    The Library / Research Specialist ensures a quality experience for Africa CMD’s clients, which includes attention to detail and follow-through and collaboration within the Library / Research Shared Services Centre support team.

    Library / Research support services will be delivered through a shared services model that supports PwC Africa member firms and will be accessed through the Africa Traffic Controller and the Africa CMD team’s work management system.

    The Library / Research Support Shared Services Centre team comprises researchers and other specialists who supply and communicate information that contributes to business growth, positioning and opportunities.

  • Ongoing investment in tools and technology in the Library / Research Support Shared Services Centre should ensure that PwC Africa’s research and insights are distinctive and impactful;
  • the Library / Research Specialist is responsible for delivering that experience.

    Role Description

    Delivers timely and high-quality responses to requests for Library / Research Support Shared Services Centre support

    Collaborates with Library / Research Support Shared Services Centre team members in the PwC Africa territory

    Comprehensive understanding and extensive working knowledge of research tools, methodology and communication

    Delivers high-value research / market intelligence work with exceptional attention to detail

    Develops proposal research / market intelligence support services, including investment in skills, capabilities and technology, with a good understanding of PwC Africa’s services, go-to-market priorities and strategy, ensuring that research / market intelligence work helps to amplify key messages

    Has knowledge and aptitude to take a research concept through to finality

    Demonstrates excellent working knowledge of research requirements in a corporate environment

    Keeps up to date on trends and new technologies

    Identifies needs or problems and comes up with solutions

    Handles multiple projects of varying complexities and meets deadlines

    Adheres to rules, procedures, policies, instructions and agreements

    Significant experience with research, market intelligence and analysis preferred

    Training / qualifications in research methodology, statistics, analysis or similar preferred
