Seeking Chefs that are happy to be operationally involved in cooking and training of staff. The chef will primarily run the catering at a Golf Estate, catering for any functions held at the estate, will assist in the launching of a 40 Seater Fine Dining small Patio Restaurant and Terrace menus (Offering standard but more eloquent meals such as designer Sandwiches, Baguettes, Salads, Light lunches, etc.
as well as Breakfasts. We are not looking for a chef to completely re-invent the wheel but will be encouraged to add a few of their own dishes and refine those award-winning dishes already in place.
The Chef will move between the Country Club and the Group of Restaurants that the same Owner also owns. This group of restaurants serves high-quality meals, tasty and fresh shellfish, and fish offerings, meat and chicken.
Seeking a driven, hardworking (not a clock watcher) chef who loves his trade. Versatile and adaptable skills set. Will report directly to the Owner and Operator / Shareholder as well as the Head Chef.
Venue located between the West Rand and Johannesburg. Seeking a chef who is able to work independently, lead a team, follow instructions from the owner whilst imparting own creativity, and suggesting slight modifications.
This will be a 3-month contract initially with view to go perm should all go well. Qualifications Formal Culinary Qualification Essential.
Skills Hands On. Must Love Cooking and Creating. Able to take instruction from Owners, Willing and open to working long hours as business demands.
Flexible and Versatile. Good Operationally in the Kitchen, but also able to assist with Stock control, some menu additions / planning but not to reinvent the wheel. Own Transport.
