JOB DESCRIPTION The opportunity Project : A mining project in South Africa. To work under the guidance and leadership of the associate and is responsible for the successful completion and day to day tasks for projects, contracts and any other tasks assigned.
Your responsibilities will include : Producing BOQs utilising WinQS and Dimension X (Building Work, Earthworks and Civils, SMPP and E&I disciplines) utilising various methods of measurement, SANS referencing and measurement groups.
Producing complete enquiry and contract documents (supply and construction), including sub-contracts, including measurement and description of work, drafting of preliminaries, preambles and contract conditions (utilising NEC, FIDIC, GCC Blue Book or Bespoke conditions of contract as its basis).
Producing tender evaluation and adjudication recommendation (TEAR) reports. Checking QS and junior QS measurements for payment certificate purposes.
Producing payment certificates. Checking monthly cost report compiled by QS. Giving input and assistance to the associate on claims assessment and management.
Producing final accounts. Carrying out general contract administration functions. Producing budgets and cost forecasting for cost control purposes.
Setting-up Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS). Producing complete CAPEX Estimates including direct costs and indirect cost.
Producing cash-flow estimates. Compiling and updating of registers (SI / CE register, drawing register, correspondence register and claims register).
About you You have a degree in quantity surveying or relevant qualification. You are digitally savvy and can build lasting client relationships.
