Sales Management and Administration Leader


Excellent career opportunity with a leader in the Solar Energy industry. The goal of the professional Sales Management and Administration Leader (SMAAL) is to optimize the volume and margin of the turnkey Solar PV solution sales in the South African territory.

You will be reporting to the Managing Director.

Responsibilities and duties :

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining strong working relationships with sales resources and to leverage these to ensure successful growth of sales for the company,
  • Be the primary conduit / administrative channel of all information to and from the business office to the sales field. The SMAAL ensures the quality of information provided is satisfactory for back office processes to continue, if not to direct back to the sales resources,
  • Ensure a speedy and efficient flow of information, supporting documents and calculations, to boost sales activities. Coordination across other resources, technical and financial as well as analytical reporting to enable effective sales encounters of the organisation,
  • Support the sales resources throughout the entire sales cycle, including lead generation, sales proposal development, closing and appointment as EPC sales materials and customer meetings upon sales resource request to assist in sales.
  • Experience and qualifications :

  • Qualification in business, economics or equivalent is preferred, although education in a relevant technical field is acceptable when accompanied by relevant sales experience,
  • At least five years’ experience of successful B2B sales and channel partner management in high-tech, renewable energy, or energy services industry,
  • Must reside in the Cape Town area and will be office based (Stellenbosch), 08h00 to 17h00 daily with the occasional requirement to work after hours,
  • Demonstrable understanding of sales process and consultative sales history supported by strong written, verbal communication and customer relationship management skills,
  • National travelling up to 25% of the time, although seldom, will be required in line with the business unit requirements
