Our client is currently looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their Commercial team. The Business Development Manager uses their commercial (sales) expertise to sell the company’s products and services and growing the revenue of the company in existing and new accounts.
The ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator, can demonstrate technology, be able to work towards targets and will have previous experience working within a similar industry.
Performance Objectives : Acquisition of New Business / Clients : Prospect for potential clients using various direct methods such as cold calling, telephonic meetings, face-
to-face engagements and indirect methods such as networking and channel partners Plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince prospects and existing clients to do business with our client Qualify prospects Consult with prospects about business challenges and requirements, as well as the range of options, cost and benefits of each Utilise domain knowledge to have meaningful conversations with clients Drive the sales cycle from initial client engagement to closed sales including the effective demonstration of our client’s technology Provide feedback to sales management on ways to decrease the sales cycle, enhance sales and improve the company’s brand and reputation Research target market requirements, by establishing the key business drivers, determining the barriers to entry and identifying key competitors Achieve new business sales targets Growth of Current Business / Clients : Prospect for potential opportunities in the existing client base in the assigned territory Engage with existing and prospective clients in the closing of opportunities that will assist in realising their business objectives and addressing of business challenges Develop and maintain key opportunity plans to identify opportunities for our client to deliver value and forecasted sales Overall Opportunity Management across new and existing clients : Assess client needs and identify the root issues to provide viable solutions to problems identified Assess possible risk from the client’s perspective and help the client with the decision-
making process Present solutions, including writing the proposal based on the analysis of the current state and an understanding of the desired state the client is looking to achieve Coordinate a variety of client touch points and client meetings Lead the negotiation of in-
