INVENTORY CONTROLLER - BRYANSTON Introduction The preferred candidate should be an inventory professional with a successful inventory management track record (minimum 3 Years), have good accounting skills and understanding of inventory, pricing, KPI management and JDE technical knowledge as well as having a high commercial drive to assist the business to achieve their financial objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities Overall management of the inventory for the entire business across the various locations around the country Understanding the controls and processes around stock with the aim to improve those controls and processes currently in place Daily stock and balancing review performed by the various depots Attendance of monthly stock counts at each depot Ensure compliance with monthly deadlines from the depots Preparation of the monthly stock report Weekly and monthly paper depots reconciliations Preparation of the monthly stock roll forward for reporting to Head Office Resolving and reporting on stock variances with corrective actions to be implemented Review of the monthly stock-in-transit reports for completeness and accuracy Reconciliation of consignment stock Understanding and tracking of daily losses / gains on inventory Opening to closing reconciliation of stock to ensure accuracy and identify any differences Compare all supplied volumes by source to JDE purchase order entries for the month to ensure all purchase orders have been raised and correctly accounted for Liaising with JDE consultants to ensure integrity of data and handling any difficulties experienced by depots around stock and JDE matters Customer pricelists Management of the pricelists and monthly updates to customer pricing in JDE In-month pricing amendments based on review of pricing and approvals Overall accountability for customer pricelists Daily sales order management within the set KPI’
s as noted by the business processes Review of pricing variances from Qlikview and follow up with the relevant stakeholders Attendance of weekly supply pricing meetings Preparation, agreement and presenting the current position in terms of volume, sales and invoicing performance analysis Review and challenge the various stakeholders in terms of forecasted sales, current position and historic business trends Manage the audit process around inventory Bank payment loading as and when required Desired Experience &
Qualification BCom Honours (Accounting) / BCom (Accounting) Minimum 3 years previous inventory control experience Proficient in Microsoft Office JDE experience is highly preferable This role requires stakeholder engagement across all spheres of the business and a strong candidate is required to challenge and push the teams to achieve the overall business objectives Analytical skills : an organized and methodical thinker.
Able to assimilate data and present it in a comprehensive way to different audiences. Excellent communication skills written, read and spoken.
Methodical in approach to problems, good attention to detail and ability to identify problems with immediate resolutions whilst under pressure.
Be a strong team player whilst comfortable working on own initiative. Code 8 drivers licence, own reliable and insured vehicle.
