Description Agrivan Farming, a well-established commercial irrigation farming company, is currently searching for a qualified and reliable HR Officer.
Responsibilities : Time and attendance for all junior staff members; Management of biometric clocking system; Payroll administration of all junior staff members on Africlock payroll system of up to 500 workers in harvesting season;
Approval of overtime according to overtime sheets from different departments; Issuing of Dr’s visit letters to sick staff and consolidating Dr’s accounts;
Leave administration; Staff administration; Contract administration; Induction of new employees; Recruitment; Compiling job descriptions;
Administration of protective clothing to be issued to staff members; Upkeep of employee’s files; Managing of IOD’s; Management of the petty cash;
Handling staff queries related to payroll and attendance; Assisting staff with claims from pension funds and funeral policies;
UIF administration and issuing of UI-19’s; Organising training of staff members to ensure certificates stay valid & legal requirements are met;
Occupational Health and Safety; Handling of disciplinary matters & procedure; Liaising with managers regarding disciplinary issues;
Representing the company on the Employment Equity forum; Representing the company at the CCMA; Ensuring compliance with standards and legislation relating to employee’s rights, health and safety,equal opportunity and related concerns.
Requirements : HR or relevant qualification. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Human Resources and Payroll. Good understanding of legislation.
Excellent organizational abilities. Ability to work in a team environment with minimum supervision and long hours if needed.
Ability to multi-task. Speaking and understanding the Tswana language is a bonus. Interested candidates can send their CV
