PURPOSE AND ROLE IN THE BUSINESS :
The incumbent will be responsible for the compilation and administration of contracts according to organizational, legal and business requirements.
Provide a cost effective Procurement function focusing on the containment of costs, creation of value, management of commercial risk inherent to the Procurement processes and maintaining adherence to Policies and Procedures.

KEY RESULT AREAS :
The successful candidate will be required to :
Preparation of enquiry documents, ensuring maximum safeguards and benefits to the company, based on information provided by the originator (e.
g. technical, specifications, commercial factors)
Facilitation of tender site visits.
Scope clarification with the originator and the tenderers.
Tender selection and engagement i.t.o tender clarification and compliance to procurement procedures
Commercial evaluation of tenders received , deriving sound commercial recommendations
Guidance to originator and relevant stakeholders on legal and contractual implications of tenders during contract life cycle
Negotiate most favorable conditions such as terms of payment, performance, escalation principles and deliverables prior to contract award
Preparation of final contract document that reflects the commercial, legal and performance agreement between the contractor and company
Signing of contracts and appointment of Contracts Managers
Interface with on Mine Group of Supply Chain Services
Effective supplier relationship management through establishing and maintaining relationships with contracted suppliers for the Operation to benefit from good communication and understanding with respect to : Supplier performance in line with contractual requirements and address contractual and performance issues with suppliersPro-
actively engage with Contract Managers to ensure performance of suppliers and keep Contract Managers informed on issues involving their contracts and the impact that external forces may have on their contractsDevelop a relationship of Trust with the end-
users to ensure that Procurement is the first point of call on contractual issues
Ensure compliance with the company Code of Conduct and Business Ethics and Corporate Governance Company Policies and Procedures and Legislation
Give due consideration to Preferential Procurement with regards to BEE, Local Procurement, Socio Economic Development
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : (Education & Experience)
Grade 12 / Std 10 / N3 or relevant NQF level 4 qualification
Relevant & Recognized Legal or Commercial Diploma / Degree
Minimum of 5 years relevant commercial and business experience consistent with the job requirements
Minimum 3-5 years contract management experience and knowledge of BBBEE codes and Mining Charter
Valid EB / Code 08 Drivers License
Successfully obtain a Red Ticket (Medical Fitness certificate) on mine
