JOB DESCRIPTION :
Brits : MAINTENANCE ARTISAN ASSISTANT (TECHNICAL)
Duration : 3 months temporary / contract position with possibility of becoming permanent
Minimum Requirements :
Presentable and reliable
Electrical, Mechanical or Millwright Trade Qualification a must
Minimum 3 years related technical experience
Recent practical working experience in maintenance of plant
Technical and analytical experience.
Experience with computerised management systems
High level written and oral communication skills
Ability to display initiative, independent judgement and discretion in all areas of the role
Ability to make rapid and logical decisions in a changing production environment
Excellent time management skills
Highly organised with a systematic approach to task execution
Ability to work across a diverse range of levels of personnel within the business
Stable employment record and contactable References
Must residing within commuting distance from Brits
Must be able to start immediately
Perform a variety of electrical and mechanical maintenance and repair duties to bring back plant to design while supporting operations on shift as well (Paving Supplier and Manufacturer Plant)
Carry out plant inspections, corrective maintenance and preventative maintenance as assigned.
Participate in root cause analysis
Ensure all necessary parts, equipment, services and documentation for maintenance are done correctly
Perform preparatory work for maintenance activities.
Inspect, grease and lubricate motorized equipment
Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
Preventative, Corrective, Reactive & Continuous Improvement maintenance
Maximising Plant and Equipment availability
Liaising and communicating with relevant stakeholders
Delivering all of the required maintenance outputs within the budgetary constraints of the departments
Salary : R 10 .00 - R 12 .00 gross maximum
