Summary : The purpose of this job is to lead skills development nationally within the organisation. This positions reports directly to the National Chairperson.

Qualifications required :

  • Matric;
  • Undergraduate university degree or National Diploma from a top tier institute.
  • Experience required :

  • 5 10 Years’ experience in a similar role within organizational leadership at a provincially level;
  • Experience in the heading / managing of developmental programs;
  • Thorough understanding of developmental methodologies and skills with an ability to train / coach and transfer skills to others.
  • Skills required :

  • Analytical thinker;
  • Project Management;
  • Strategic analysis skills;
  • Presentation skills;
  • Planning and organising skills;
  • A well-developed network of corporates, public entities and academic institutions;
  • Strong inter-personal skills.
  • Key responsibilities :

  • Develop, implement and review skill development programs
  • Establish partnerships that are directly relevant to skills and attitude development program in different professional fields.
  • To coordinate with the National Coordinator and Provincial teams on the delivery of agreed annual skills, development and Empowerment priorities and provide leadership in implementation portfolio project.
  • Enhance and ensure implementation of skills, development and empowerment programs at provincial level.
  • Manage projects and programs delivered under national skills, development and empowerment portfolio.
  • Produce monthly reports on National Skills, Development and Empowerment portfolio.
  • To give strategic direction on critical developmental programs.
  • To forge innovative partnerships with key thinking tanks, academic and corporates entities.
  • To work and collaborate effectively with other National Committee Members,
  • To help develop skills, development and Empowerment proposals and concept notes for fund raising.
  • Drive specific tasks as mandated by the National Chairperson, as and when required.
