Minimum requirements for the role :

  • Technical Diploma or equivalent work experience is essential.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ Screening business development experience is essential, as well as a minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in revenue cycle.
  • Must have an understanding of complex Screening Applications, including process and mechanical application.
  • Previous experience identifying and developing new markets within the Screening business is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Must have excellent budgeting and presentation skills.
  • Must be a self-motivated, reliable individual with strong organisational, stress management and mentorship skills.
  • Valid driver’s licence with own transport is essential.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for :

  • Developing and capitalising on new business opportunities for vibrating equipment, screens and plants through the complete sales cycle.
  • Establishing, developing and executing a strategic business plan to meet, achieve and exceed agreed upon sales, company revenue and profitability targets.
  • Defining and matching customer needs to current products and services offered by the company.
  • Managing and developing a sales pipeline to generate sales and contribute to the growth of the company.
  • Liaising with various internal departments to manage large contract negotiations and successfully close new business deals.
  • Establishing new accounts as well as maintaining existing accounts to ensure consistent growth in sales.
  • Preparing budgets every three months and ensuring expenditure remains within budget guidelines.
  • Managing the approval of tenders as well as Suppliers for procurement of parts and manufacturing.
  • Attending and participating in relevant conferences and association meetings to promote the company’s product solutions, with an emphasis on its offerings related to Screening.
  • Monitoring and reporting on actual progress versus plan for both strategic plans and the budget as well as preparing and providing business reviews and feedback to senior management.
  • Providing accurate, competitive pricing in a timely manner for all completed prospect applications submitted whilst aiming to maintain maximum profit margins.
  • Ensuring accurate pricing, sales and activity reports are maintained as well as managing price schedules and discount rates.
  • Attending to and resolving all sales and service related customer complaints.
  • Ensuring all company policies, procedures and ethic codes in line with ISO requirements are adhered to at all times.
  • Setting and achieving annual targets.
  • Facilitating test work in collaboration with the Engineering department as well as communicating test results to customers with alternative solutions as required.
  • Coordinating resources for the successful execution of various projects.
  • Compiling and submitting monthly activity reports as well as quarterly plan updates to senior management.
  • Updating the master project list on a weekly basis.
  • Identifying and participating in the development of policies related to the Sales department.
  • Establishing quality standards for the company’s products and reporting on non-conformances.
