Risk Management :

  • Providing financial reports and interpreting financial information to management while recommending further courses of action.
  • Develop trends and projections for the firms finances.
  • Ensure adequate reports are available. Operations
  • Co-ordinate strategies for premium collection.
  • Monitor implementation of collection policies and procedures and FSCA regulations.
  • Prepare financial statements, business activity reports, and forecasts the organization's financial position, management account, and analyses of future earnings or expenses.
  • Monitor various reports and relay information to shareholders.
  • Ensure monthly financial payments creditors.
  • Payroll administration.
  • Bank reconciliation.
  • Premium bank reconciliations and payment instructions.
  • Monthly reports to Insurer.
  • Brokers commission to be paid and controlled.
  • Control HR requirements as well as payroll activities plus filing.
  • Ensure claims are paid.
  • Co-ordinating with the external auditors and handle audits and audit queries.
  • Monitor financial details to ensure that legal requirements are met.
  • Supervise employees in the financial department.
  • Review company financial reports and seek ways to reduce costs.
  • Help management make financial decisions.
  • Control company documents and share certificates.
  • Daily reporting.
  • Monitoring cash flow.
  • Maintain Asset register.
  • Prepare & Submit Monthly VAT & PAYE returns.
  • Prepare Financial system for external audit Skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • An analytical approach to work.
  • High numeracy and sound technical skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and initiative.
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to influence others.

  • Handle internal and external queries.

  • Develop relationships with Insurer and ensure high level of service. Other
  • Check and authorize all amendments for FAIS and FSCA compliance.
  • Ensure registers and files are kept up to date in terms of FAIS.
  • BCom Accounting Qualification or CA(SA)
  • Experience as a Financial Manager an advantage.
  • Experience in the financial sector with previous possible roles such as financial analyst.
  • Proficient user of finance software, experience in Pastel Payroll.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
