What will you do in this role?
The Asset Manager works with the production team to organise, archive, and distribute digital assets across multiple projects and platforms.
This role is core to the effective content distribution through technical support and management of media handoffs between departments and clients.
What do you need to be great at?
Output Creation and Management
Maintain a centralized file server (Strawberry) for efficient file sharing within the organisation, with a focus on creative assets for the post-production teams.
Create and maintain standard operating procedures for effective media management.
Manage the filing / logging of all transcoded video footage correctly for handover to the video editors.
Manage access and video assets within the review system.
Prepare assets for freelance post-production staff and facilitate technical handback of finished product.
Design, implement and manage post-production workflows along with the Post-Production Manager and Lead Editors.
Implement and maintain watertight solutions for all creative assets’ backup and disaster recovery.
Transcode and back up incoming video, and audio data from the shooting team.
Quality check correct renaming procedures and that proxy workflows are followed.
Log, digitise and store all material for a given editing task in a manner that ensures unique tracking and fast recall of each clip, sequence or archive items.
Prepare projects for Editors and create the project folder structure for ease of use.
Manage signed-off edits, prepare and send and receive video and audio to Translations team.
A robust asset management ecosystem with 0% data loss and a 100% up to date asset structure.
Skills / Competencies
Detailed knowledge of editing and animating with Adobe Creative Suite, with extensive experience in using Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
Extensive knowledge of a full stack media servers (storage, MAM and archive).
Extensive knowledge of the Macintosh operating system is essential.
Working knowledge and experience of filming and editing workflows e.g. on-set management, dumping, media management, archiving, backups as well as importing and exporting.
In-depth knowledge of bitrate, aspect ratio and resolution in exporting videos from Premiere Pro and Media Encoder.
Ability to work well independently as well as in a team.
Minimum experience required
Minimum five years’ experience in post-production, with a focus on Asset Management.
Experience in the set up and management of a full stack media server (storage, MAM and archive).
Extensive experience in working with multiple projects, at scale, is essential.
Experience in producing localised content is essential.
Highly proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro CC; Media Encoder CC and After Effects CC.
Minimum qualifications / education
Relevant degree or diploma in film or video content production is required.
