As a Senior Sales Specialist, you will consult with clients, finding the right technological hardware and software products to suit their business needs.
You will develop sales strategies , working to expand your customer base and maintaining business relationships with clients.
In addition, you will be involved in negotiating sales contracts and may also be responsible for teaching customers
how to use the products that they've purchased. You will negotiate commercial agreements to the benefit of both the customer and supplier
What you will do :
gain an understanding of customers' diverse and specific business needs and apply product knowledge to meet them
ensure quality of service by developing a thorough and detailed knowledge of technical specifications and other features of employers' systems and processes, and then documenting them
identify and develop new business through networking and follow-up courtesy calls
prepare and deliver presentations and demonstrations of software to customers
maintain awareness and keep abreast of constantly changing software and hardware systems and peripherals (e.g. keyboard and mouse)
develop effective sales plans using sales methodology
meet sales targets set by managers and contribute to team targets
network with existing customers in order to maintain links and promote additional products and upgrades
handle hardware or software problems and faults, referring on to specialist technical colleagues where appropriate
respond to tender documents, proposals, reports and supporting literature
manage workload in order to organise and prioritise daily and weekly goals
contribute to team or progress meetings to update and inform colleagues.
Solid sales experience in a technology or services environment
Sound understanding of IT Managed Services environment
Demonstrable experience of solution-based selling with a proven track record of sales over-achievement
Prior experience of selling complex solutions and services to C-Level clients
Experience of resolving a wide range of issues in creative ways to meet targets and objectives
Strong experience of networking with senior internal and external people in the specialist area of expertise
Expert level capability and the ability to work independently with little instruction on day-to-day workload
Negotiation Skill methodologies such as Scotworks
Must have WAN / LAN solution selling experience
