Large DealsBusiness Development Executive

Part of MEA Strategic Large Deal team, with a focus onidentifying and developing P / ULA, CAP, PoF opportunities within our enterpriseaccounts.

Key opportunity advisor and contributor, supporting on all aspectsof internal and external coordination and communication with customers todeliver the optimum value to their investments in partnering with Oracle.

Work is non-routine and complex, involving the application ofadvanced commercial / business skills in area of specialization.


  • Work with primary repsto identify and qualify accounts across XY region for Large Deals
  • Provide plan and support primary reps todevelop the accounts towards LD
  • Investigate the customer specificsituation and install base; work with presales and customer contacts tounderstand customer future plans, projects and potential deployment
  • Select appropriate products and optionsfor Large Deals (P / ULA, CAP, POF) and reach internal agreement on best optimalsolutions to work on
  • Provide relevant information and explainas needed to primary sales rep and stakeholders on specific case variation andconsequences;
  • provide training and raise manager's team general understanding onLarge Deals

  • Assist internally on tools andprocesses, include and obtain relevant VP support, structure and expediteapprovals; secure presence of enabling options to use in closing as needed (caprates, PH, ULA2C)
  • Assist in presenting LD to customer withinapproved parameters; work with customer to understand benefits and obligationsof LD;
  • provide analysis of impact to their business

  • Fine tune and finalize proposals basedon customer feedback
  • Co-operate with relevant teams - DM,Legal, Rev-rec; enable and expedite the closing until booking
  • Follow up within 6months to 1 year from closing with customer to check customer satisfaction andidentify potential for add-
  • ons or expansion / upsell


  • Minimum 8 years of progressively increased responsibilitiesin sales or sales management
  • Engage and build relationships with salesleaders, sales and pre-sales teams within region.
  • Engage and build relationships with regionalteam in EMEA and Product management in HQ
  • Provide internal and external advocacy on OracleTechnology portfolio and Large deals
  • Proven track record of executing sales successes& influencing complex deals
  • High levels of energy, passion, creativity andenthusiasm
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidlyexpanding and changing environment
  • Strong organizational awareness and ability tomaneuver across the different layers of the organization
  • Successfully achieved demonstrable growth acrossmultiple product lines
  • Bachelors degree or higher
  • Advancedconsultative sales presentation and positioning skills
  • Ability toprioritize / manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Detailed Description and Job Requirements

    Overlay sales personnel providing specialist product expertise to the sales force.

    Partners with Account, Technology, and Application sales representatives to qualify and close new business on Oracle solutions.

    Provides specific industry or product expertise to facilitate the closing of deals within sales representatives territory.

    Interacts with sales team to architect the solution, and develop and execute solution strategies for market. Manages solution opportunities to obtain appropriate and necessary resources for all qualified opportunities.

    Leads teams in the sales process for establishing market visibility and deal visibility. Presents / demonstrates solution to high level clients and industry conference attendees.

    May provide training to field sales on industry / solutions. Builds and maintains a network and up to date specific industry or product knowledge.

    Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical / business skills in area of specialization.

    8 years applicable experience preferred. Subject matter expertise in industry / product space. Knowledge of key industry leaders and management.

    Knowledge of Oracle competition. Presentation and product demonstration experience. Previous consultative selling experience preferred.

    Excellent communication, negotiating, and closing skills with prospects and customers. Travel may be needed. BA / BS degree in related field.
