The Full Stack Engineer is responsible for the entire architecture enabling business services in a specific domain.
The primary responsibility resides on the application layer, secondary on the operating layer and infrastructure.
The Full Stack Engineer will consider and understand integration services, supporting services, associated applications and the end to end service.
The System administrator is responsible to build relationships with various stakeholders (Business, Technology, 3rd parties) in an effort to ensure that business service availability is in line with the SLA’s, (Run the Bank) and Implementing strategic solutions as required by stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Accountability : Operations
Actively monitor the technology estate for signs of weakness or breach to pre-empt future service performance issues and escalations.
Demonstrate the enduring value of operations through tangible benefits tracking and reporting.
Accountability : Change
Have a thorough understanding of the system functionality for which the system is designed to support to the PM and System Analyst(s) with sound advice during implementation of new functionality, change and enhancement requests.
Assist the Project Managers to fully understand the system
Accountability : Maintenance
Do proper planning to ensure the latest patch levels are applied as and when needed.
Monitor all layers for unsupported infrastructure issues and remediate with the relevant areas.
Accountability : Risk
Apply bank approved COBIT principles.
Prepare technical build documents for data center resiliency tests and execute these.
Education and Experience Required
NQF 6 or equivalent
Systems Administration / System Engineer Certification e.g. MCSE
Minimum of two years system administration experience / operation.
Minimum of two years managing technology infrastructure experience.
ITIL / COBIT Practitioner Certification
