Leasing Executive : Industrial

Primary Purpose of the Job

To ensure tenant retention within the existing portfolio and ensure property income growth.

Key Performance Areas (KPA's)

Setting a leasing strategy for the company in conjunction with the property / asset management team to improve the letting strategy within the portfolio.

Encapsulating, but not limited to the following services :

  • Reduction of vacant space
  • Improving of tenant mix
  • Assistance with redevelopment
  • Maximising of property income
  • Renewal and retention of existing leases
  • The retention of existing tenants through innovative letting initiatives.

    Maintaining awareness of commercial, industrial and retail property trends that may lead to / open up new opportunities and create competitive advantage for the company.

    Concluding value adding transactions (with all relevant supporting documentation) in line with or in excess of projected budgets and forecast.

    Assist in leasing reporting.

    Providing assistance in all leasing functions and associated matters as may be required by the company.

    Develop and maintain strong customer relationships and industry network to maximize tenant retention.

    To assess staff functions within the respective functional areas and conduct regular performance reviews.

    Job Knowledge :

    Knowledge of basic legal principles (essential)

    Knowledge of Town planning principles (essential)

    Good understanding of the portfolio (essential)

    Good understanding of company processes (essential)

    FICA Knowledge (essential)

    Knowledge of property evaluation and asset management (desirable)

    Job Related Skills :

    Basic Accounting Skills (essential)

    General Computer Proficiency (essential)

    Conflict and dispute resolution (essential)

    Job Experience :

    3 - 5 years property broking experience (essential)

    Experience in corporate reporting and processes (desirable)

    Experience in strategy implementation (essential)

    Development experience (desirable)

    Education : Grade 12 (essential)

    Grade 12 (essential)

    Business Management, property, auditing or accounting or similar tertiary qualification (desirable)
