Purpose of the position :

Responsible for the human resources function for approximately 900 employees. General duties may include recruitment of professional and management employees, administration related to human resource processes, workplace skills & equity planning, workforce planning, people performance, employee relations, reporting and organisational development.

Responsibilities include :

  • Leveraging the expertise of organization design and knowledge of business needs to design and implement an effective organization structure;
  • workforce planning and labour deployment strategy. Execute recruitment and selection

    Consult effectively to management and employees on people related issues. Conduct Human Capital related disciplinary investigations, maintaining records and representing the organisation at hearings (CCMA).

    Drive succession planning process and talent management agenda, including capability building, talent assessment, and acquisition.

    Facilitate employment equity, employee relations and skills development

    Contribute to operational team efforts of the business unit by accomplishing operational goals and outcomes

    Ensure company HR Strategy is rolled out in the business unit

    Partner with the business unit to champion associate engagement activities and build a high performing, inclusive culture on human resources matters.

    Analyze trends and indicators in partnership with HR group to deliver solutions to the business

    Minimum Requirements

    Degree in Human Resources Management

    5-6 years relevant experience as a human resources generalist within a manufacturing environment

    A least 2 years experience on a management level as a human resources generalist in a manufacturing environment in a unionised workplace and represent your employer at the CCMA
