The G Band CIOT & Wearables Portfolio Manager role is based within Commercial Operations Business Unit.The incumbent will develop the CIOT and wearables portfolio ensuring the proper selection of specific devices into Vodacom in order to drive profitable business growth and generate demand for new services.
The role holder must balance commercial considerations with technical understanding in order to identify innovative product opportunity.
The role holder will collaborate closely with the global and local teams to deliver a differentiated, segment-based CIOT and wearables portfolio.
Responsible for developing a best in class Consumer Internet of Things (CIOT) product and wearables portfolio to support business CIOT strategy and requirements.
Monitor and report on CIOT innovation, product development activity and analyse benchmark reports.
Preparing an updated quarterly roadmap t to ensure compliance and support of the business strategy and CIOT focus and roadmap and to ensure that all business unit CIOT requirements are met.
Planning and aligning with local and global stakeholders
Key accountabilities and decision ownership :
Aligning CIOT portfolio with global and local market best practice and platform
Leading vendor ranging, portfolio selection sessions and related commercial negotiations to ensure.
Coordinating product testing and compliance
Responsible for supporting negotiating commercials related to all CIOT product
Vendor on boarding and relevant commercial agreements
The ideal Candidate should have technical / professional qualifications :
Relevant Technical degree / diploma
Strong knowledge of Mobile and wider IT industry (>
7 years experience)
Quick comprehension to identify differentiating business opportunities and related professional / academic education
Strong communication skills in English (verbal & written)
The base location for this role is Commercial Park, Midrand.
